Double S' first win on Music Bank with their hit (and hot) song, Love Ya.
Ain't that amazing? The traditional bowing (kowtow-ing) and 90 degrees bowing. Dearest humble modest oppas. Bogoshiposo, jinshimhaeyo.





This is a fanvid of a SS501's fan-meeting held in June. At 4:06, you can see (my dearest) Jung Min (the Tom) crying so badly that Baby Hyung Joon (the Jerry) hugged him comfortedly(?). Yes, though always quarreling and bickering like the cat Tom & mouse Jerry, the Min-Joon couple relationship is as close & deep as it can get. Even Kyu, the tender-hearted, also comforted the Horse (only to get blocked by Saengie, coughs). Through this, we all know that the members have built intangible friendships with one another. Heart-wrenching...




This last video is their live performance of 'Haruman', or 'Only One Day'. Watch it, and you'll know why this has become my favourite song ever since.



Double S, as a band. We all know they've been around for 5 years. Debuted in 2005. Was well-received in Korea, Japan and even internationally. They rose to even greater fame when the hit drama, Boys Over Flowers, was released. 5 Years... These 5 Males grew from Boys to Men, from child-like to maturity, from inexperienced to being veterans themselves. Countless heart-fluttering, grinning-from-ear-to-ear moments, yet numerous heart-wrenching, tears-flowing occasions. The arguments and the patch-ups. They barely knew one another from the start. The awkwardness, the unfamiliarity. But gradually, tthey begin to learn about one another's hobbies and habits. Understanding one another, accepting one another, tolerating one another. The 5 lives, entwined as one.


Hyun Joong can joke and crap and tell his 4D theories to every member, almost. The only one who gets really awkward with Leader is none other than Young Saengie. Maybe it's because of their age; both are hyungs. Or perhaps their personality? Both are the reserved type who don't usually take the initiative. However, the funniest thing is, when both of them gets drunk, they start to be real close with each other, pouring heart-felt (& drunk) talks to each other. It's like the alcohol diluted the awkwardness away~!

Young Saeng is the calm, mature and no-joke hyung of the group. He's said to be uber-romantic. Though the main lead singer, he once had a throat operation that left him speechless (literally) for quite awhile. After the operation, his singing is still daebaak~! Talented right? His passion for singing is burning fervently as singing is still his main focus after signing with his new company, B2M.

Kyu Jong, from Busan, carries the Busan personality -- kind, soft-hearted, caring, understanding, honest, sincere, gentle. He treats every member with warmth and respect. Whenever anyone needs help, he'll be the first one there. Kyu sometimes tease and joke with the other members. He's particular close with Saengie (they even joined the same company and tweeted to each other frequently). They were dubbed the Kyu-Saeng couple.


Mirror mirror on the wall, who's the most talkative of them all? Bachor, it's Park Jung Min yah. Known as Park Horse, Park Sexy Charisma, Park CEO, Park Handsome, Park Director, Park Talkative (etc), this cute Horse denies loving carrots but bites on them to calm down subconsciously. He's really interesting. And that's how he caught my eye. The first SS501-related show I watched, Jung Min was the one doing the most talking, even sort of hosting. I was attracted to his charisma, the way he can talk through things with much ease and comfort. This was something I didn't (and still don't) have. Jung Min is one hell of a confident and ambitious guy! (He even has a trademark smirk, teehee.) He tried opening an online apparel shop but failed. That didn't make his heart cold nor did his ego went busted. He tried a second time and succeeded. Now the famous Royale Avenue is gaining so much popularity (but it's not without the help of Leader, who blurted out the fact that Jung Min has an online shop, but the number of visitor was only one; who is Leader himself. Haha. Ever since then, the number of visitors grew exponentially. Koomawopta, Leader! ^^) Jung Min does outstandingly well in everything, provided he puts his heart into doing so. Singing, dancing, acting, DJ-ing, hosting, CEO-ing (LOL). Slowly, but surely, he walked into my heart. The jokes he cracked, the myriad facial expressions he made, the songs he sang... They became a part of me. Haru haru, I think of him. It's like a crush, a fancrush.


Hyung Joon, the youngest in the group. He's that innocent, playful, emotional maknae. Always believing his hyungs' lies. Often teasing them back, especially his Tom, Jung Min. First to cry during their first concert. Cried when he got pranked by his hyungs on one of his birthday. Cried even more when he come to realize how much effort they put in to make his birthday surprise a success. Cried for days when Park Yong Ha hyung passed away. Baby couldn't even DJ properly, he was emo all over. You can say that he's a crybaby. But I'd like to put it that Baby is sentimental by nature. He's the maknae afterall. Paradoxically, he behaves more maturely when he's with his dongsaeng, Ki Bum (from U-KISS). No, it's not that Baby has split personality. It's just that he has to choose the appropriate roles to play, right? Baby is really close with Kusoboy, as you can see from the tears-inducing (2nd) video above. There's a saying, "If we don't quarrel, we don't meet." That's probably the case for these mischievous Tom & Jerry. Jung Min always never fail to attend Baby's birthday parties no matter how busy he is. The last time, Baby watched a video of Kusoboy wishing him happy birthday and apologizing for not being able to come. Who knows, the next minute, Kusoboy appeared and gave Baby a huge surprise! Baby, on the other hand, reciprocated Kusoboy's gratefulness by turning up for his company opening even though the rest couldn't. Ahh, the Min-Joon couple just makes my heart flutter.

Double S, though separated, is still in existence. Though they have parted, they will reunite as one. Let us faithfully wait, patiently anticipate, their next comeback. Five Super Stars back As One, again next year! Double S' Comeback in 2011! There's at least a year we can look forward to right, because "again" sounds vague and insecure. See, when have our oppas ever disappointed us before?! Never did, and never will!
