'tis time i blog proper.

&i'm starting today!

i ate two plates of chee cheong fun and munched on some famous amos cookies for breakfast. at about 10am, my daddy, maid (Iis) and i went to fairprice xtra @ amk hub. you wouldn't have imagined the crowd in that hypermart! trolley jams everywhere, people stuck at places for minutes, counter queues stretched all the way back. t'was horrendous, i would say. first, i brought Iis to the fbts section and began to dig for shorts. i chose 3 shorts. then we went to the undergarments area and chose 3 panties. headed to the cosmetics territory and found my desired mascara. we then searched for a suitable lipgloss. we found out that revlon lipglosses have th tendancy to harden, so we gave up on them. i chose a silkygirl one in the end. went around the mart to search for our nicks and nacks like water, milk, buns etc... the last item on my groceries list was facial blotting paper. i had to forget the term for it and happily thought it was called oil wipes or smth. LOL. -_- so i asked an employee twice for help and she brought me to the area th second time. i found clean&clear oil&dirt removing wipes and thanked her. iis and i then proceeded to find my father amoungst th scurrying peepo. by luck, or rather, by God's grace, i found my father not long after. iis and i found a rather short queue (compared to the rest) in front of breadtop and thank God for that as well. (: smsed my father the counter number and he appeared a minute later. woah, O: we then, laiden with the heavy grocery bags, walked all the way to the 药材店 (medical hall that sells ginseng, herbs and so on) because my father wanted to buy red dates and stuffs for chinese new year. while waiting for my father to finish buying his things, the DJ (or rather, music-control man) just beside the medical hall (which is in front of Yuesheng jewellery shop) blasted the amplifier because that particular new year song that was playing was quite to his liking. :S after that irritating experience, i then proceeded to the car with my dad, mum and maid. my mum went to guardian while we're groceries-shopping at fairprice xtra. she bought the facial blotting paper for me! yay! she actually remembered i mentioned i wanted that thing! she also bought the same brand&model&price panties as me! omgosh, t'was so coincidental! (speaking of telepathy? xD) she bought her three panties from guardian while i bought mine from fairprice xtra. my mum dropped my dad at the market's. after the journey home, iis and me dropped off and carried all the grocery bags home. phew, sunday mornings are tiring (for me).

i spent my time before lunch watching tokyo juliet (LOL, i know i'm lagging behind) and snacking on famous amos cookies. fried rice with curry chicken for lunch. coolioz! i even had second helping despite my heavy breakfast and snacking before lunch. manz, i should just die of overeating! well anyway, that proves that the lunch was uber delicious. :p i got ready to go out very early. at 2:40pm, dad, mum, sis and i car-ed to square two. this time, my mum overshot the turn AGAIN. lol, luckily she could turn in further down th road. mum dropped us off at the car-park and dad, sis &i headed up to prelude music school. my teacher have not arrived yet so i went to the toilet first with lynnette. when i came back, the supervisor showed me to my instructor (a.k.a... i forgot his name. :x lol!) anyway he has long hair with a phillipino accent like harvey's. he introduced me the different parts of the guitar and how to hold the guitar while playing. he taught me how to tune and strum the guitar. i also learnt the E & D major chords. next lesson, imma learn more chords and maybe how to play some simple songs. he gave me a copy of the chord chart and i thanked him. toilet-ed whilst waiting for lynnette to end her piano lesson. when i went out, i wanted to call dad when mum arrived. she called lynnette and we met up. dad and mum went to one shop to buy scallops. lynnette and i walked past a shop she claimed has many shuaiges inside! we didnt see any; disappointed. D: drove home.

at around 6pm, we went out to dine. settled at whampoa's cosy corner, a family restaurant catered to vegetarians. my father said it's cold and customer-orientated. well, it's not the first time i went there anyway. the last time i went there was for lunch at the goat farm outing. the staff there were jokers, especially the males! the boss was seriously cute, saying "it's snowing cats and dogs outside." i wonder if he was tryna be funny or he plainly mixed up the meanings of snow and rain! lol! we ordered three dishes and i ordered the same drink as the last time again. i luvluvluvluvluvvvvv vegetarian char siew. it reminds me of meals at tai yuan heights, with all my cousins, aunties and uncles (mother's side). managed to almost finish my plate, leaving some stalks of vegetables and carrot slices. toilet-ed and came back, bored. i had nuthin' better to do so i decorated my plate with my leftovers. is that considered as 'playing with your food'? i was merely making it more attractive, that's all. we're off from that eatery, satisfied. (: drove lynnette to amk hub and i'm home now, blogging.

i want to share a bit of what wenhui preached about during the last cell group meeting. you see, in order to build good self-esteem, there are 6 truths to it. 1-Humility is not the same as humiliation. 2-Putting off the sinful nature is different from putting yourself down. 3-Self-denial is not the same as self-degration. 4-Unworthiness is not the same as worthlessness. 5-Self-love is different from selfishness. 6-Self-affirmation is not equals to self-conceitedness. think about it.. it all goes down to one thing: balance. for example, number 5. it says "Self-love is different from selfishness." you ought not to hate yourself and think you are a good-for-nothing, neither should you love yourself too much until you think the planet revolves only around you. instead, you must love yourself moderately; not too much, not too little. which of the 6 truly applies to you? which of the 6 truths truly impacted you and stirs you to wanna change? for me, it's a lot on 1 and a bit on 2. through friday's preaching, i finally realised our so-called humility of denying our talents is known as "fake humility". often, people praise me of my intelligence and i say things like, "no luh no luh. so-so is smarter than me! she got full marks, y'know!" i have been demostrating fake humility for like, how many years liao? but then again, 所为一山必有一山高; it is not wrong to say i'm not actually as good as they think i am. anyway, humility means admitting your weaknesses, and not denying your strengths. from now on, i shall demostrate fake humility no more (&provided i remember)! i will say "thank you" when i'm being praised and i shall admit the things i'm not so good at. for point number 2, sometimes when something screws up, i will blame myself and dwell on the problem. example: putting off the sinful nature - if i lie, i stop lying. but if i put myself down, it means - if i lie, i keep asking myself "why did i lie??" & saying things like, "i'm always like that!! why can't i change?" and the difference between putting off the sinful nature and putting myself is to change and repent! the latter only keeps you dwelling on the problem, but yet you don't change. actions speak louder than words, so turn from the old ways and put on the new. i hope this paragraph will really impact you to change for the better. it's not too late, m'dears; it's still the start of 2008. &as you face the treshold of this new year, i wish this will be your best year yet!
