just the plain old me.

happy new year! as we face the tresholds of 2008, let this be the best year yet!

so of course i went for countdown! this year with n341 at karyin's place! :D met th people up at tanah merah control station. there was kangwei, kimberly, baojuan, yanxuan, ken, melvin chiang and yueyang already. we waited for ivan and proceeded to take bus number 24. alighted at simei area and waited for the rest. headed to her condo and there was this lady who asked us for directions and we're like question mark??? LOL! it's like our first time there and we're not even sure of anything there! karyin led us to her block's lift lobby. the first half of us went up first. her house is more like a penthouse than a condo luh! she has a white Toy Poodle, and although i'm not a fan of pets (and animals), i find it quite adorable. we put our bags down and went up to the open area, and there we sat down and ate. some people climbed up to the rooftop already and i took pictures of them. after eating, i climbed up too. the view was nice and everything; great breeze. ken opened my hooch and both melvins, ken, kimberly, darryn and i shared. all of them commented it tasted like orange juice. :/ took pictures with birthday girl, kimberly! then the birthday people blew the candles and we brought the cake up to th rooftop. i held my camera light on while daphanie cut the cake. i got two pieces. ^^ actually i asked for the second piece luh! LOL. after eating, we sang songs like "hosanna", "saviour king", "光怀方式". i was like rushing verse entries for hosanna. ivan kept adding extra keys. i held my camera light on while melvin was searching for p&w scores. :D the wind blew the dirty plates (stained with chocolate cake) towards me and it friggin smeared my legs. ew gross. so i climbed down and went to the toilet t clean up. we took group photos and got ready for countdown. i was busily taking shots of fireworks. daph and i could feel the heat from the fireworks blowing towards us! whoo, :D! but in my opinion, although fireworks are awesome to look at, they are a kind of air pollution! LOL:D called wenhui, cannot get through. we counted down - 5, 4, 3, 2, 1! happy new year! we all not accurate one sei! too early lah dei. an accurate clock is important when it comes to countdowns, hahah! called wenhui several more times before getting through. sang her a happy new year song (pull your ear!) and melvin chiang made wenhui irritated/sian dao-ed. lol. we shouted across a very loud "happy new year" but got no replies. ha! some of them cleaned up the place while the few of us played with th toy poodle dog. went down to th study room to hear darryn play th piano! wow i was awestruck at how this grade 6 played! although he was slouching, his fingers moved fast with the tempo of th pieces he was playing. he could play secret songs! 不能说的秘密, 斗琴 and 早操. omf, so nice can! he played other jay chou songs like 夜曲 and 安静. darryn was so humble lah pls. &davin could sing well. (: daphanie, baojuan, melvin chiang, ken, yandao (quanyuan) and i played a boardgame named 'cluedo'. it's smth like murderer but more leizhey. it was 1:30am by then and in order not to disturb karyin's family sleeping, we decided to go downstairs. by th time, no pulic transports anymore liao, so th rest ton'd. if want cab home, sibei ex! dad and mum arrived already and so karyin brought kimberly, kangwei, ken and i to th carpark. ken, kimberly and i hopped in while we bade goodbye to the other two. mum drove kimberly to her bus-stop first followed by ken to his bus-stop. school is starting tomorrow and i haven't got my homework done! ): i dint even start chinese lah pls!

New Year's Resolutions:
1. Pass overall and 80% of my subjects.
2. Get at least 2 As for EOYs, plus Good Progress Award (again)!
3. More true friends.
4. More presents (on my birthday, xmas, new year and even on val's! :b)
5. Be a better person, meaning lesser vulgarities, lesser attitude problems, lesser complains and whines, lesser insults and accusations, lesser crap and skepticism and sarcasm and argues and debates, etc... Stop being a quarrelsome, petty, calculative, straightforward (in a sense that it hurts people directly and indirectly), irritating, inquisitive and troublesome asshole. [i know i'm not perfect (and neither have i nor you been), in fact i am the most imperfect bitch you can ever come across. but yours truly is willing to change. "when there's a will, there's a way". the only constant in life is change. only fools and dead men don't change because fools DONT change and dead men CANT change. change begins with a decision (to cast judgement) and it takes discipline to maintain the change. you need to have courage to hear the ugly truth and faith to change.]
6. Grow vertically and not horizontally, LOL!
7. Meet someone special.
8. Discover talents, beauty and good points bout myself.
9. Go beyond Malaysia and Indonesia for holiday trips! :D
10. By end of 2008, half of 3E3'08 will be in N341 (kimberly, karyin and i will join forces, muahahah)! at the very least, i get 2 souls saved. (:
11. Learn the drums or piano or guitar & pick up a skill (haircutting, knitting&sewing, magic tricks, baking, DIY, beatboxing, dancing (best breakdance), photography, cooking etc).
12. Breakthroughs in life (spiritual, intellectual, financial etc). even breaking off from phobias & bad habits are considered (like acrophobia, stagefright, stuttering, giving LJB/buang face, gossiping, gorging on chocolates and tubs of ice-cream LOL etc).

yup that's roughly about it, i may add on to the list if i get inspirations y'know. "期望越高，失望也更高"... hey, but who knows? maybe i'll get smth like "期望越高，成功度也更高"! LOL! maybe i'll do even better than i expected myself to accomplish, no one else knows but God. ((:

and for last year's resolutions, let's see how many have been accomplished! x_x

• [x] Pass main subjects (except Maths) can i even do it? yup, i did it! :D passed everything, in fact.
• [ ] Get 40+ for Maths yeah right. naw... ): dint accomplish this one because... i passed math! :D with a B4! thank you, dephne! and not forgetting God for multiplying my time and giving me wisdom and knowledge.
• [ ] My wishlist to be emptied my wishful thinking. impossible, really. LOL
• [x] Don't drop to Normal *crosses fingers* yup, i stayed in express stream, thankfully. and was promoted to sec3 express. thank God, yeah! (:
• [ ] Lose weight! but i can't resist sexy delicacies.. i don't think i did lose weight. all i know is, my height had been stagnant since sec1. T_T
• [x] Receive more LOVE i need your help(: yes, i received the love of Christ this year. plus, the many cell group members who never fail to care and bring colours into my life! :D
• [x] Get a job as if anyone would hire me.. yeh. would like to thank natalie for introducing me this job and the colleagues and supervisors for making my job experience at garraway great! (:
• [x] Do voluntary work no way. ok fine, when i have the time. :l i did, during cell group outreach; cleaning the elderlys' houses! i wouldn't have volunteered to do it myself so yeh, thanks N341! :D
• [x] Relatives to be blessed i need god's help. at least everyone was safe and i didn't have to attend no funeral. so thank God for blessing and protecting my family &relatives.
• [x]/[ ]? Worldpeace this means: lesser bombers, lesser terrorists, lesser robberies, lesser rape cases, lesser murderers etc.. aiya, lesser sins, more commitments.(: i rly dunno bout this lei.. all i know is world war III dint start in 2007 so thank God for that yah! :D

so overall 2007 has been a good year for me. (: this is the year i went to CHC and met so many fun and loving friends. this is the year i got my first job and my close-to-one-thousand-bucks pay. although this year has been only a so-so year with little breakthroughs in life, i still want to thank God for blessing and prospering me without fail. thank God for who He is, and for the miraculous works He had done in my life as well as others' lifes. hey, this new year's day has turned out to be a kind of thanksgiving period for me! ^^ thanks everybody! - God, family, relatives, friends, accquaintances and even enemies and those who don't like me.

i received 6 SMSes wishing me happy new year! and that's even worst than last year. T_T but it's ok. look at the bright side - at least i don't have to waste money receiving their smses and replying them back! LOL!$%^
