$50 fairprice voucher
today woke up and felt very giddy. omg did i contract migraine? hope not. is like super goyang lah. not feeling well and during breakfast, a baby (teenager, rather) cockroach crawled onto my plate. yuck. actually wanted to go carina's house at 2. yeah but called it off since i dunno how to go.
around 6pm, bathed and got ready for the national day dinner. first dad, mom and i drove to kopitiam. saw sanyi! it's been ages since i saw her. then i kope one sprite xD sat down and wait for godma to come loh. sian. then we cannot tahan and just took the invitation cards and went to the car to wait for her instead. she arrived and we headed off to macpherson's. in the car, my parents were so cute lah!
mum: keep left and cannot miss the turn.
dad: (asks) turn here arh? (and attempts to make a turn for the construction site or smth)
LOL right?!
dad, mom, godma and i: *LAUGHS*
dad: cannot miss the turn ma...
mum: your 'general direction' followed by my 'specific direction'.
if you dint get what that means, it's like that; my father always like to say 'general direction' because he only know roughly the route to th destination. so, ya. they are lifetime partners!
godma said i have such adorable parents. and i dint realise until she had said it. yeah, it's kinda true. especially my mom (to find out; read on xD).
we reached and our table is 68. our fellow tablemates were three uncles. they are friendly and cheerful. always cracking jokes and making us all laugh. first dish up: a big plate of different foods. got chicken nuggets, 'salad', black eggs (o_O) etc... second dish was sharks' fin soup (dunno how true). third dish: steamed fish. fourth: prawns. i dont like seafood, plus the stupid shell-peeling thing is a total hassle! thanks dad for peeling one prawn for me(: fifth: suckling pig. ew omg the skin's hard, rock-hard! second last dish: fried rice wrapped in leaves (omg dont remind me, the leaves smell horrible). but the rice's nice. last of all: dessert, which consist of yam in coconut milk with bits of corn and lotus seeds. yum. i went toilet like two times. cos i kept drinking and drinking lmao. i drank (in order of time): f&n orange, sprite (the one from coffeeshop), 7-up, carlsberg beer. i think the red wine taste horrible (horrible as in worse than th beer), but i dont get why the adults all say it's nice. ohwells, the diff between th taste buds of a child as compared to an adult's. ): anyhow, beer or wine, ALL DAMN BITTER LAH! i shall stick to soft drinks! xD but shandy's not so bad. (: the performance (idk if it's in sequence or not): chinese dance (primary school girls), malay dance (teenagers?), indian dance (young adults). then there's this girl, her name is called "Lee Pei Fen". idk if she's the 93.3 deejay or not, but most unlikely. cos from what i see (her height, looks) and what i hear (her voice), she is definitely somewhat a teenager or at most, a young adult. she's talented (in vocals of course) and her voice is nice lah! powerful and sweet. lemme recall, she sang like one chinese song, one english song (titled "Venus"), one tamil song and one malay song. i must say, her tamil song is damn nice lah! she pronounce all correctly (i suppose) and she's on tempo for every single syllabus. PEIFU PEIFU! and she's very qianxu, keep asking people not to mind her if she sing badly. and keep asking them if she pronounce the title correctly or not. anw, next is magician! he's the famous guy acting in suria. not rly an actor, but he has his own magic program on tv. so catch it on every monday, 7pm? hahas, dunno. he's damn funny, he said smth like "if you don't like me, i'm david copperfield!" ahahaha. then he said "don't try this at home... but you can go your friend's house do la". loooool. funny guy. acrobats, boring. well actually not. quite entertaining lah, and they are comedian clowns. lmao. the handstand is funny. last got lucky draw. first 20 is consolation. then second 15 is win $50 fairprice voucher. last 10 win the really hua stuffs lor. i rmb first prize is 20-inched sony lcd tv or smth. second prize: sony digital camera! AHHHH, so want it! nvm, i have alr. it's canon anyhow. we tio the fairprice voucher thingy. then we all chua tio lah, when 0677 called out. because when my mom was in the toilet, godma and i shuo hao i go up if we kana. then i was like suibian lah, it's not like we're really gonna tio right? (see how pessimistic i am.) so i just go lor. not jing zhang lah. and i shook hands with the MP! :D i forgot his name and his looks, just rmb he's a guy that's all. lmao(: i thought in my life i can never win anything that hasta do with luck lor. budden today prove me wrong lah. it's not about winning a $50 voucher that matters, it's the luck. i rmb during top 10, my mum damn high lah. keep saying 'boo' and everything when it's 'small number' (cos ours is big). so anw, there's games too! half the audience is red team and the other half is white team. i was in the red (hotter) team of course. they give music quiz lah. then red team damn on one leh. almost all from red. esp the table behind us, walao they went up like 3 times. their son damn pro lah. the host ask his what's the meaning of muneruvaliba (or h/e it's spelled). then he got correct leh! actually he said 'progress' only. budden still considered cos the answer is 'onward progress'. my mum damn high during the group thingy, she keep clapping the balloons. the table in front of us got one cute lil baby boy (not exactly baby), who's four years old. cute luh he! wanted to take picture budden the girls at the table saw then i suddenly realise like damn bu yao lian, like sneak shot, so i sua. then got the yamseng part, i take my glass of beer and yamseng with them. damn awkward sia. b: then sing onward singapore and one national day song. i swing swing the balloon thingy like concert. see i so enthu. xD then we went home (balik kampung) when the first prize winner is announced. haha totally jealous you can say? no luh. it's no point staying alr ma.. ending ler. drove godma back to tyh. we decided to give the voucher to my grandmother since she paid like $200 for the invitation cards. it's sort of gratitude. when we were on our way home, my mum told me smth and i'm rly shocked and saddened lah. i just hope you will ying shui si yuan. ): afterall, who's the one who took care of you all these years? and who scrimped and saved just to let you go to the states and study in a private school? i betcha dint know she had a heart attack recently. to her: don't worry, we will support you all the way. and we will not leave you in a lurch like she did. we love you.

i: yala not like you, kanchiong spider!
mum: *LAUGHS* (first time hear this erm, phrase?) why use spider?
i: cos spider got eight legs what.
mum: *LAUGHS* (again -_-)

mum: aiya you and your daddy all have wet hands and legs
i: ooh lizards (idk why i said that, prob cos lizards can stick on walls and wet hands stick to walls better than dry)
mum: dirty ugly lizards (or smth liddat)
i: no, we are spidermen
mum: lizards!
i: spidermen!
*argues*
i: (suddenly) spidermen plus kanchiong spiders equals happy family!
mum: *LAUGHS* (again, again -_-ll)
